So you know by now that I read the dictionary - it must then come as no surprise I take 'words of the day' from Dictionary(dot)com. They come in to my auxiliary email account, so I don't check them so regularly.... Imagine my pleasant surprise, then, when I noticed they've added a new dimension to the etymology of the words: the date it first came into use in it's current definition. This, added to the already available (from the _____ from the Old ________ for to _____) makes for a very happy aimee piper!
