Yes, I'm doing what you think I'm doing! Earlier this year I helped in the production of two short plays - and everyone on stage needs stage makeup!

These pictures were taken on the same day - during the Commemoration of the Martyrdom of the Bab. On the left I am with my new friend Shireen, on the right I am with my friend Elliott. Elliott caught me unawares!

Both of these pictures are taken in Herzaliyyih - a suburb of Tel Aviv. I'm with my friends Joanna and Leili. Herzaliyyih is a little bit like Newport, and many of the foreign diplomats to Israel live here.
This is the night we took Joanna's dad back to the airport and then stopped off for dinner on the way back home to Haifa.

In this picture, I'm at the beach a little ways outside of Haifa. The sunset was amazing!
I was taking a picture of some ancient Roman era ruins on the waters edge. I'm not sure if they're actually Roman or if they belonged to one of the local Jewish tribes. But they sure looked cool!

This is me at my new desk! I serve in the scheduling office of the Department of Pilgrimage for the Baha'i World Centre - this picture was taken during my week of orientation, so the desk area is still neat and sans decoration!
Naturally all that has changed by now!

These are some of my new friends. This picture is taken from one of the Terraces of the Shrine of the Bab in Haifa. It's from our first or second week here in Israel. In the front is Leili, from Spain; Anahita, from Australia; Nava, from the US and Puerto Rico; Donesh from the States; and clearly myself!

Believe it or not, I made this food! I've been learning how to cook different dishes since I've been here in Israel - and of course it gives me the opportunity to host fun dinner parties!

These are more pictures of the ancient city of Akka. Akka was the last stronghold of the Crusaders, and the last place Baha'u'llah was banished. In these photos are some of the ladies I serve at the Baha'i World Centre with.

Life in photos!

Here's a little of what I've been up to since moving to Haifa, Israel to serve at the Baha'i World Centre. In this picture, my friend Donesh and I are standing on the sea wall of the ancient fortress city of Akka, behind us is the Mediterranean Sea.

Sustainable Resource

So today is my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary, and I've been thinking how many people in my generation will actually make it to this momentous year mark; not because they won't live long enough - but because they might not try hard enough.
Modernity has us always looking for the newest and brightest thing, but what if the next best woke up with you every morning for a lifetime? What if, instead of trading in for the newer model, we learned to fix things? It's entirely possible that I've already lost you - I'm wont to be a little tangential, but just think about it. Recycling is good for you.
