...With a Single Step

So begins the weekend and a thousand memories....
These photos, while from my camera, were taken by my friend Nava. This is, of course, pre-football - and therefore pre-limp!
But yes, it really is this beautiful!

...The Highest Form of Flattery

On a lighter note, I'm slightly obsessed with Scott Schumann (ie the genius behind The Sartorialist - link to your left). I like Kadria's picture of me better than I like mine of her - but that's because she's a better photographer than I am!

Thinks That Make You Go Hmmmmm

So this weekend I was at the mall *such as it is* with my friend Kadria. She was trying on the cutest (albeit poorly constructed) dress. Anyhow, she needed some help with the zipper; lo and behold my long experience with zip-back water polo suits finally paid off!
She needed to exhale. With Kadria's help, I've had an epiphany:
Women hold their breath to make everything fit. And all we really need to do is exhale.
Now, far be it from me to make some cheesy reference from a movie I've never even seen - but yeah. Stop waiting and just exhale!
ps. I mean me.

Transcending Thoughts of Self...

I've been thinking about the power of volition versus the Will of God, recently... and this quotation from Baha'u'llah, and interestingly enough this picture I took last night from the bus stop, capture it perfectly.

O MY SERVANT! Free thyself from the fetters of this world, and loose thy soul from the prison of self. Seize thy chance, for it will come to thee no more.
(Bahá'u'lláh, The Hidden Words)
